Yaari Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 1 November 2026. Yaari has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, and any content that sexualises minors.
Adults only
- Yaari is for people aged 18 or older. Every account gives a date of birth at sign-up, and sign-up refuses anyone under 18. Accounts sign in with a mobile number, as a guest or through another sign-in service. An identity check (document and live selfie) can confirm a person's age.
- Gender and date of birth cannot be changed after sign-up.
- Anyone who appears to be under 18 is removed, whatever age their profile shows.
- In the app and on the website, video calls are checked for nudity on the user's own device; detected nudity is hidden at once and reported to our safety team.
- On the website, a photo sent to a room, added to a post or a highlight, or added as an extra profile photo is checked for nudity on the sender's device first and is not sent if it looks like nudity. Photos in rooms are blurred until the viewer taps them, and a report about someone in a room includes the photos they posted there.
Prohibited
- Any image, video, message or live video that sexualises a minor, including drawn or generated images.
- Contacting, grooming or soliciting a minor, or asking anyone for images of a minor.
- Sharing links or contacts that lead to such material.
How to report
- In the app or on the website: open the chat, room or profile, choose Report, then Looks under 18 or Nudity or sexual content. The person is blocked at once and the report goes to the top of our review queue.
- By email to our child safety contact: grievance@yaari.app.
What we do
- Remove the material and ban the account as soon as we confirm it.
- Report confirmed CSAM to the authorities: in India through the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in), and to the US National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), or to the competent authority in the user's country.
- Cooperate with law-enforcement requests made under applicable law.
